The Alpha Children's Shelter Mityana Uganda

We help the 9 orphaned children that live in the shelter. We have funded school uniforms, food, protection & helped invest in farm land.

However we cannot do it all ourselves, we need your help.

One of our core programs. This is where we began on our mission, Ismail Lumbuye helps us run the shelter from Uganda.

Our Impact At The Children's Shelter

  • Electricity

    The shelter was able to afford an electrician to come round and restore power to the building.

  • Food

    The children used to only have one meal per day. Some of them have tasted meat for the first time during the course of our help. Including some fizzy pop as a treat.

  • Formal Education

    6 of our 9 orphans are now in formal education, wearing the correct uniform with all the equiptment they need. 

  • Windows

    The shelters old windows were broken & wouldn't close. The new Windows keep the inside feeling like being inside. 

  • Water

    The shelter used to collect rainwater in a rusty old bin. We have a state of the art water collection barrell at the property. We also pay the water bill for the property next door in order to ensure fresh water consistently. 

  • Mosquito Nets

    The Old Nets Were very worn, the Children now have Brand new nets to protect them. 

  • Medicine

    Any emergency medical situation that required medicine or a dr is paid for & in the quickest time possible. 

  • Farmland

    We recently invest in farmland for the community to harvest & share between the shelters

Future Objectives

Solar Powered By 2025

We are looking at partnering with a local solar company in Uganda to provide the village with solar lampposts.

These are solar panels connected to energy collection batteries that in turn can be hooked up to a number of houses.
